Building Unity. Inspiring Dialogue. Advancing the Igbo Agenda.
The Igbo Agenda Dialogue (IAD) is a non-partisan, pan-Igbo platform created to unite, engage, and mobilize Igbo stakeholders across Nigeria and the diaspora toward a shared political vision. IAD brings together leaders across political lines, market and professional associations, town unions, youth and women groups, diaspora bodies, and respected individuals committed to shaping a stronger, more cohesive political future for the Igbo Nation.
We are not an alternative to Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide. Instead, we exist to complement and strengthen Igbo unity through strategic political engagement, data-driven dialogue, and inclusive participation.
For more than five decades since the end of the Nigeria–Biafra war, the Igbo Nation has engaged politically without a unified, codified agenda. This lack of cohesion has led to marginalization, ridicule, and political underrepresentation despite our population strength, economic significance, and national spread.
IAD was founded to change this trajectory.
We believe the time has come for the Igbo to:
Reclaim their political relevance
Restore collective self-esteem
Strengthen internal unity
Influence national leadership outcomes
Secure a fair, respected, and strategic place in Nigeria’s political architecture
The Igbo Agenda Dialogue aims to articulate a comprehensive Igbo Charter—a guiding document that will define our shared expectations, political principles, and engagement strategy for generations.
To build a united front that enables Igbo people, regardless of political affiliation or location, to speak with one voice and negotiate Nigeria’s political landscape from a place of dignity, clarity, and strength.
An empowered Igbo Nation that is respected, united, politically conscious, and actively involved in shaping decisions that affect our collective future.
We convene respected Igbo leaders—traditional, political, economic, professional, youth, and diaspora—for honest, inclusive, cross-generational discussions about the Igbo political future.
A team of experienced Igbo scholars and practitioners will draft a historic political framework to guide engagement with Nigeria’s political structures and parties.
IAD is building a formidable Igbo National Grid, connecting credible associations and unions worldwide into a unified, strategic ecosystem.
Through civic education, youth engagement, and enlightenment campaigns, we aim to rebuild interest and confidence in elections and governance.
We promote issue-based negotiation backed by a clear Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with any political candidate seeking Igbo support—ensuring that Igbo votes are never taken for granted again.
IAD promotes dignity, unity, and the renaissance of Igbo pride—helping our people reclaim the aura of respect and influence we are historically known for.
Unity is Strength — When Igbo people stand together, our influence is unmatched.
Dialogue Builds Capacity — Honest discussion leads to lasting solutions.
Political Power Requires Participation — The PVC is mightier than violence.
Respect Must Be Earned — Through strategic engagement and united resolve.
The Igbo Nation is Not Helpless — We have the population, talent, and spread to redefine our destiny.
The inaugural dialogue is only the beginning. The success of IAD will lead to a historic Igbo Political Summit in Enugu, where a fully inclusive assembly of Igbo stakeholders will formally adopt the Igbo Charter.
From this point forward, we choose unity over division, strategy over sentiment, and collective progress over individual pursuits.
The time to reclaim our rightful place is now.
